A class action lawsuit has been filed against Enfamil and Similac, alleging that the companies misled customers about the contents of their baby formula products.
The lawsuit, which was filed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, alleges that Enfamil and Similac violated the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act by mislabeling their products as "non-GMO" when in fact they contain ingredients that have been genetically modified.
The plaintiffs allege that they purchased Enfamil and Similac products based on the belief that they were buying non-GMO products, when in fact the products are not what they were represented to be.
The lawsuit is seeking damages for the plaintiffs, as well as an injunction against Enfamil and Similac to prevent them from further misrepresenting their products.
