DraftKings has agreed to pay out over $7 million in site credit to customers who were affected by a software glitch that led to incorrect pricing on some fantasy football contests.
The settlement, which was announced today, will see DraftKings paying out $4.95 million in site credit to affected customers, as well as an additional $2.5 million to customers who were unable to withdraw their winnings due to the glitch.
In a statement, DraftKings said that it "deeply regrets" the incident and is committed to providing "the best possible experience" for its customers.
This is not the first time that DraftKings has had to deal with a software glitch. In 2015, the site mistakenly released early data on NFL games, leading to accusations of insider trading.
While DraftKings has agreed to pay out millions of dollars in this latest settlement, it is unlikely to face any major regulatory action as a result of the incident.
