A reel is a series of short videos that someone posts as part of their story. You'll find Stories in the Instagram app under the app's "Discover" tab. If you want to know who posted a new reel, tap it to view it.
How to pause Instagram stories
There are several ways to hang a reel on Instagram and it all depends on the type of device you are using. If you're on a mobile phone, there's a button at the bottom of the screen that says "Pause".
If you're on a desktop, there's a small icon in the bottom left corner that says "Pause". These buttons would work great for pausing your reels and allowing you to resume them when you want to watch them again. It also helps if you do this before going to bed every night so your coils don't keep spinning in the background while you sleep!
How to re-enable Instagram Stories
If you want to reactivate your reels on Instagram, it's very simple. Just tap the spinner and press the Unpause button. You can also restore a pause using the play/pause button on your keyboard. It should be right below the YouTube share button.
Pause the Instagram reel to help you focus on the content
If you've been using Instagram for a while, you might not have noticed this little button in the upper-left corner of the video. If you hit it, it will pause your reels and resume the pause so you can come back later.
It's a great option if you want to focus on what's playing, or if you don't have time to watch a video right now. It's also a great way to keep track of all the cool stuff on your stream, as it can sometimes be easy to skip inactive reels.
