Boppy Infant Head & Neck Support Accessory Recalled Due to Suffocation Risk

On May 9, 2019, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced a voluntary recall of the Boppy Infant Head & Neck Support accessory. The recall was issued due to a suffocation risk posed by the product.

The recalled accessory is a detachable pillow that can be used with the Boppy bare nursing pillows and Boppy newborn loungers. The pillow can be fastened around a baby's neck, providing support for the head and neck. However, if the pillow is not used properly, it can block an infant's airway, posing a suffocation risk.

To date, there have been no reports of injuries or incidents associated with the use of the recalled accessory. However, the CPSC is urging consumers to stop using the product immediately and contact Boppy for a full refund.
